Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a positive trend on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend till 11:00am.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange advanced 10.84 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse earned 21.02 points when this report was filling around 11:00am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 10.84 points or 0.19 per cent to stand at 5, 735.70 points when this report was filed at 11:07am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.81 points or 0.18 per cent to stand at 2, 069.72 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 2.88 points or 0.22 per cent to reach at 1, 303.31 points.
DSE turnover stood at BDT 2.47 billion when this report was filed at 11:07 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 170 advanced, 56 declined and 45 issues remained unchanged.
AB Bank was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 139.67 million changing hands followed by Islami Bank BDT 139.40 million, City Bank BDT 110 million, LankaBangla Finance BDT 102 million, National Feed Mill Limited BDT 101 million and National Polymer Industries BDT 95 million.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – advancing 21.02 points to stand at 1,0786.55 points also at 11:04am.
Of the issues traded till then, 83 gained, 38 declined 15 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 137 million.
