Bangladesh’s stocks see downtrend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed downward trend in early hours of trading on Sunday amid volatility.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 0.59 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4,507.46 points within first 30 minutes of trading when this report was filled at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also went down by 1.34 points or 0.80 percent to reach at 1,607.00 points. However, DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 0.87 points or 0.08 percent to stands at 982.50 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 446.67 million when the report was filed at 11:00am. Of the issues traded till then, 113 advanced, 57 declined while 28 remained unchanged.
The port city bourse – the CSE also witnessed negative trend at opening with its Selective Category Index --- CSCX lost 26.38 points or 0.30 percent to stand at 8,746.63 points at the same time.
Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 28 declined while 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 22.27 million.
