Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a downtrend in the early hours on Sunday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went down by 15.81 points or 0.43 per cent within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 3,641 points at 11am when the report was filed.

 Of the issues traded then, 55 advanced, 48 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at only BDT 104 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Premier Cement topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 19 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a negative trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE lost 15.31 points to stand at 6,902 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, only 24 advanced, 28 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
