Bangladesh’s stocks see downtrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses--- the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed downtrend amid fluctuation at early hours on Wednesday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went down by 13.41 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,033.81 points when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 49 advanced, 113 declined and 21 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 450 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Pubali Bank is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 112 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a negative note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE lost 28 to stand at 7,557 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 26 advanced, 49 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
