Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Shares prices on the both bourses—Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed negative trend in the early hours on Wednesday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DGEN) lost 20.45 points within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 4,126.84 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 31 advanced, 113 declined and 14 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the premier bourse and stood at BDT 334 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Summit Purbanchol Power Company Limited topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 48 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a negative trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE stands at 8,067 points after losing 44.43 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 13 advanced, 58 declined and 5 remained unchanged.

On Tuesday, the DGEN finished at 4,147 points, after gaining 54 points while the CSE Selective Categories Index gained 138 points to close at 8,111 points.
