Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Share prices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw positive while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday amid fluctuation.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 3.18 points or 0.06 per cent to stand at 4,707.06 points after first 30 minutes of trade at 11am.

DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.0 points or 0.09 per cent to stands at 1,007.02 points. However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost1.23 points or 0.07 per cent to reach at 1,693.58 points.

The turnover value on DSE stands at BDT 401 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 120 advanced, 40 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 65.14 million changing hands till then followed by Al-Haj Textile, Square Pharma, Olympic and BSCCL.

The port city bourse – the CSE also witnessed negative trend at opening amid volatility, with its Selective Category Index — CSCX lost 9.32points or 0.09 per cent to stand at 9,212.63 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 34 gained, 26 declined and 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 40 million.
