Bangladesh’s stocks see sharp gain at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 33.28 points or 0.71 percent to stand at 4,709.20 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11.05am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 20.72 points or 1.16 percent to reach at 1,807.30 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 11.91 points or 1.08 percent to stands at 1,113.23 points.  
DSE turnover stands at BDT 1.06 billion when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 130 advanced, 38 declined and 41 issues remain unchanged.
ACI Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 130 million changing hands till then followed by MJL BD, Lafarge Surma Cement, BD Building and Singer BD.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gained 34.86 points to stand at 8,792.72 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 45 gained, 22 declined and 12 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 47 million.
