Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive note in early hours of trading on Monday.

The DSE general index, DGEN gained 15 points or 0.36 per cent to reach 4,364 points at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 152 advanced, 17 declined and 11 remained unchanged.

Turnover stood at BDT 525 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Unique Hotel and Resorts topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 69 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX also gained 60 points or 0.59 per cent to stand at 8,507 points also at 11am. Of the issues traded then, 67 advanced, 12 declined and 9 remained unchanged till then.

Earlier on Sunday, DGEN closed 30 points higher while CSCX ended 108 points higher.
