Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses--- the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend at early hours on Wednesday, maintaining the previous session’s uptrend.
 
The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 38 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,347 points when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 208 advanced, 20 declined and 9 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 1.76 billion till the report was filed at 11am.

Summit Purbanchol Power is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 160 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 89 points to stand at 8,056 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 105 advanced, 17 declined and 5 remained unchanged.
