Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend at early hours on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 43.63 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,546.91 points when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 151 advanced, 24 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 1.18 billion till the report was filed at 11am.

Summit Purbanchol Power Company was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 96 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 58 points to stand at 8,371 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 59 advanced, 15 declined and 5 remained unchanged.
