Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share price index at the country’s both bourses –Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –-opened with a positive trend on Tuesday.

The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 41.79 points to reach 4062.88 points at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 175 gained, 31 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

Turnover value stood at BDT 763 million till then with Generation Next Fashion topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 50 million changing hands at 11am when the report was filed.

The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 15 points to stand at 7866 points, also at 11am on Tuesday. Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 20 declined and 6 remained unchanged with Tk 40 million turnover value.
