Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share price index at the country’s both bourses –Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –-opened with a positive trend on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 14.53 points to reach 4027.91 points at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 137 gained, 44 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

Turnover value stood at BDT 413 million till then with BSCCL topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 86.36 million changing hands at 11am when the report was filed.

The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 12 points to stand at 7851 points, also at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 59 gained, 19 declined and 6 remained unchanged with Tk 32.32 million turnover value.
