Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the both bourses---Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend in the early hours on Thursday, maintain previous two session uptrend.

The benchmark Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 10.92 points or 0.27 per cent within first 15 minutes of trading to stand at 3,936.13 points at 10.45am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 67 advanced, 22 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

Turnover is very slow and DSE turnover stood at only BDT 82.60 million till the report was filed at 10.45am.

Unique Hotel and Resorts topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 24 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 17.26 points or 0.22 per cent to stand at 7,618 points also at 10.45am.

Of the issues traded then, 20 advanced, 10 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
