Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend in the early hours on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 7.73 points within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 3,709.63 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 127 advanced, 24 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at BDT 180 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Grameen Mutual Fund Two topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 11 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 12 points to stand at 7,072 also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 50 advanced, 10 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
