Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses— the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend on Tuesday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 15.66 points within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 3,678.78 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 131 advanced, 17 declined and 11 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 143.26 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Olympic Industries is most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 13.64 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 34.55 points to stand at 6,872 also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 50 advanced, 4 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
