Bangladesh’s stocks see uptrend at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses— the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend on Sunday amid countrywide hartal.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 51.63 points within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 3,793.84 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 167 advanced, 17 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 357.94 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Generation Next Fashion is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 24.82 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 79.20 points to stand at 7086.70 also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 80 advanced, 7 declined and 4 remained unchanged.
