Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks turned negative after witnessing early hour upward movement on Thursday, the last session of the wee.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 21.71 points or 0.47 percent to reach at 4,534.97 points, after two hours trading, when the report was filed at 12:30pm.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 6.87 points or 0.39 percent to stand at 1,752.72 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 1.44 points or 0.13 percent to stand at 1,104.72 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 2.04 billion when the report was filed at 12:30pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 71 advanced, 172 declined and 42 issues remained unchanged.

GP was remained the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 174 million changing hands followed by United Airways, Square Pharma, Beximco and Lafarge Surma Cement.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw negative trend after two hours with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 14.07 points to stand at 8,485.44 points, also at 12:30pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 51 gained, 111 declined and 29 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 209 million.
