Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 18.95 points or 0.39 percent to reach at 4,823.41 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 9.17 points or 0.52 percent to reach at 1,780.66 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 7.44 points or 0.66 percent to stand at 1,127.17 points.  
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 404.48 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 32 declined and 30 issues remain unchanged.
Meghna Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 70.52 million changing hands till then followed by RN Spinning, GSP Finance, Keya Cosmetics and Lafarge Surma Cement.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw upward trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 20.36 points to stand at 9,056.72 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 37 gained, 10 declined and 8 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 35 million.
