Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Thursday amid modest volatility, the last trading session of the week.
After 15 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 8.16 points or 0.17 percent to reach at 4,595.54 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 2.27 points or 0.13 percent to stand at 1,746.22.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 2.83 points or 0.25 percent to reach at 1,107.61.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 253 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 106 advanced, 25 declined and 38 issues remained unchanged.
Aftab Automobiles was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 24.45 million changing hands followed by Al-Haj Textile, Apex Tannery, United Power Generation and Distribution and Simtex Industries.
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – also saw positive in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX –advancing 5.99 points to stand at 8,524.69, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 25 gained, 10 declined and 8 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 11.25 million.
