Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Thursday amid see-saw, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 5.95 points or 0.13 percent to stand at 4,346.42 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 0.88 points or 0.05 percent to reach at 1,607.16 points.

However DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 1.23 points or 0.12 percent to stands at 998.67 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 267 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 101 advanced, 36 declined and 39 issues remain unchanged.

Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 64.49 million changing hands till then followed by ACI Limited, Beximco, United Airways and UCBL.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 12.17 points to stand at 8,284.39 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 30 gained, 16 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14.54 million.
