Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 30.00 points or 0.58 percent to reach at 5,187.25 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 10.18 points or 0.52 percent to reach at 1,956.70 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 6.57 points or 0.54 percent to stand at 1,219.97 points.  
DSE turnover stands at BDT 698 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 133 advanced, 30 declined and 19 issues remain unchanged.
Brac Bank was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 63 million changing hands till then followed by KPPL, CVO Petrochemical, GP and Saif Powertec.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 49.60 points to stand at 9,725.32 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 55 gained, 19 declined and 6 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 46 million.
