Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bank Alfalah Ltd is focusing its two separate products – saving and current account – at Banking Fair Bangladesh-2015 to attract clients so that they could operate business with the foreign bank.
The current account product is Alfalah Karobar Current Account and the saving account is Alfalah Premium Plus, Ferdous Ahmed, relationship officer of Bank Alfalah, told the BBN during the fair.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman inaugurated the five-day long banking fair on Bangla Academy premises in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The current account was introduced considering mainly the country’s SME businesspeople, Mr Ahmed said.
Under the current account, the bank will provide their clients free cheque book for life-time, free online banking through any branch of the bank, free for life Alfalah debit card, free monthly account statement, free e-statement, up to 90 per cent financing facility on deposited amount and five free pay order or demand drafts per month.
The bank will provide the facility to the current account holders of the bank who will keep minimum balance of BDT 1 lakh with the bank.
The clients will get 4.25 per cent interest rate if they make saving with the ‘Alfalah Premium Plus’ saving account.
The bank normally provides four per cent rate of interest to its common savings accounts.
Under the saving product, the clients will be able to receive free debit card for life time, first free cheque book and enjoying online banking.
The client will be able to enjoy monthly profit against their balance of the saving account.
