Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bank Asia Limited has introduced Hajj Card for Hajjees and Hajj agencies to be used as alternative to the Travelers Cheque or carrying cash.
This is an international card by which a Hajjee or Hajj agent can carry cash equivalent to the approved quota of Bangladesh Bank for the individual or agent, the private commercial bank said.
A. Rouf Chowdhury, chairman of the Bank formally launched the card at the Corporate Office in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday. Murshed Sultan Choudhury, Director of the Bank, Md. Mehmood Husain, President & Managing Director, S.M. Khorshed Alam, Mohammed Roshangir and Humaira Azam, Deputy Managing Directors, Md. Arfan Ali, Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Business Officer (SMR), and H.M. Mostafizur Rahman, Asst. Vice President & Head of Cards Department, among others, were present.
The Bank Asia Hajj Card is a visa prepaid international card by which users will be enjoying cash withdrawal facility from any visa logo ATM and purchase facility thorough any visa logo POS during the pilgrim season in Saudi Arabia.
On return from Hajj, the cardholders will be able to encashment of any available balance in card. Customer will be able to avail the Bank Asia Hajj Card by applying in prescribed form available in 74 branches of the Bank.
