Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The bankers have expressed concern over the recent incidents of ‘attack’ on their branches and ATM booths across the country, saying that this situation is no way acceptable to the banking community.
“We don’t support any type of attacks on bank branches or ATM booths across the country,” Nurul Amin, chairman of the Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB), said without elaborating.
Mr. Amin, is also the chief executive officer and managing director of the NCC Bank Limited, said foreign trade, demand for credit and the amount of classified loans may be adversely affected in the near future if the prevailing situation continues.
