Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The central bank of Bangladesh has asked the commercial banks to keep sufficient money in their automated teller machines (ATM) during the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.

“We’ve already issued a circular in this connection and asked the managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks and asked them to keep sufficient money in their ATM booths so that their clients can withdraw money from the booths between July 28 and July 30,” a senior official of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) told BBN in Dhaka.

The central bank also asked the banks to take adequate security measures at their ATM booths during the vacation.

The scheduled banks along with the government offices will remain closed from July 28 to July 30 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, a religious festival for Muslims.
