Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The central bank has directed all commercial banks to freeze the bank accounts of Railways Minister Suranjit Sengupta’s Assistant Personal Secretary (APS) Omar Faruq and his wife Marjia Farhana.
The Bangladesh Bank (BB) also asked the banks to submit details of their bank accounts within the next seven days, a BB senior official told BBN in Dhaka on Sunday, adding that the central bank issued directive in this connection.
