Banks asked to submit financial statement quarterly

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has reduced the time limit for banks to submit their statements regarding asset and liability in every three months instead of current practice of six months.

As per the amended Bank Company Act, all scheduled banks from now on should submit their statements on asset and liability in every three months in a specific format and method, a BB circular said.

The central bank also asked the banks to submit their statements within the last working day of the following month after end of each quarter.
