Banks in Comilla City Corporation to remain closed on January 5

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– All branches of scheduled banks under Comilla City Corporation will remain closed on January 5, 2012 due to city corporation polls.

The Bangladesh Bank (BB), the country’s central bank, has already issued the directive in this connection so that bank employees can exercise their franchise, a BB circular said on Thursday.
