Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- BASIS is going to organize its annual mega exposition “BASIS SoftExpo 2013” from March 6 to 9 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital Dhaka.
The theme of this year’s exposition is ‘ICT for Life, ICT for Business’.
BASIS SoftExpo 2013 is co-organized by Ministry of ICT and Access to Information Programme (A2I) whereas Kaspersky Lab is the gold sponsor; International Business Promotion Council (IBPC) is the co-sponsor and Qubee is the Internet partner.
The exposition will also focus different software products created whether for business or individual like doctor, lawyer and professionals, organizers said.
Officials of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), a software-based trade body, at a press conference on Saturday said that more than 120 exhibitors including software and information technology enable service (ITES) companies from home and abroad including search engine giant Google are taking part in the event.
BASIS Outsourcing Award 2013′ will be announced in the event that decorated with e-commerce zone, seminars, IT job fair and exhibitions, according to the organizers.
Besides, business match-making between local and foreign software/ITES companies and clients will be done with support of International Trade Centre (ITC), centre for promotion of imports from developing countries and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
Already 11 companies from Denmark and Netherlands have confirmed their participation in the B2B, they added.
The participating companies will mainly provide business solutions, e-Governance solution, communication companies and solution providers, portals, IT training institutes/universities, outsourcing companies, etc.
The expo will remain open from 10am to 8pm every day.
