Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The 10th BASIS SoftExpo-2012 will begin at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) is organizing the five-day fair in cooperation with the ministry of information and communication technology, and the Access to Information program of the Prime Minister’s Office.
A total of 140 local and foreign companies will showcase their latest products and services during the show where over 80 seminars, technical sessions will be organized. Finance Minister AMA Muhith is expected to inaugurate the fair.
The entry fee has been set at BDT 50. There will be no entry for students and corporate representatives with valid identity cards.
The organizers will focus on youth convener of the expo Tamzid Siddiq Spondon told reporters on Saturday, adding that the expo has been planned in six zones: business software zone, e-commerce zone, communication & cloud zone, mobile application zone and outsourcing zone.
