Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The central bank of Bangladesh on Monday formally released a commemorative note and a coin, marking the 40 years of Bangladesh. 
Another commemorative coin was also released marking the 90 years of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s inspirational poem ‘Bidrohi’. 
Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman formally released the note and coins at a function at the BB conference room in the afternoon.
Design advising committee members KG Mostafa, Mostafa Monowar, Kaium Chowdhury and chief executives of commercial banks were present at the function.
The note bearing the signature of the central bank governor carried the portrait of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on one side and that of six valiant freedom fighters on the other. 
The note also carried messages like ‘Ebarer Sangram Swadhinatar Sangram’ and `40th Victory Anniversary of Bangladesh’ and ‘2011’.
‘Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’ and 90 Years of the poem ‘BIDROHI’ 1921-2011’ were written on the other coin.
