BB to ask banks to raise transaction hours

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The central bank of Bangladesh is going to ask all the scheduled banks to enhance working hours for customers by half-an-hour during the government announced general holidays.

Transaction period is set to re-fix from 10:00am to 1:00 pm instead of 12:30 pm earlier, according to officials.

Besides, the Bangladesh Bank (BB) is likely to ask the banks to provide services in limited scale from April 19 by keeping open their branches from 10 am to 2:00 pm, they added.

A circular is expected to issue in this connection by the central bank soon.
