Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh Bank (BB), the country’s central bank, will release a commemorative note and a coin on Monday, marking the 40 years of Bangladesh.
BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman will formally release the note and coin at a function 3:30 pm on the day at the central bank conference room, a central banker said on Sunday.
The note bearing the signature of the central bank governor will carry the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on one side and that of six valiant freedom fighters on the other side.
The note will also carry messages like ‘Ebarer Sangram Swadhinatar Sangram’ and `40th Victory Anniversary of Bangladesh' and '2011'.
Meanwhile, a commemorative coin will also be released marking the completion of 90 years of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s inspirational poem ‘Bidrohi’.
‘Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam' and 90 Years of the poem 'BIDROHI’ 1921-2011' will be written on the coin.
