BB withdraws BDT 7.99bn from market using bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank of Bangladesh withdrew BDT 7.99 billion from the market on Thursday through its two bills auctions, officials said.
Only one bid of 30-day Bangladesh Bank Bills amounting to BDT 790 million was offered under the central bank sterilization policy and the bid was accepted.
The rate of weighted average yield of the accepted bid was 2.85 per cent, according to the auction result.
On the other hand, four bids of 07-day BB bills amounting total of BDT 7.20 billion were offered and all the bids were accepted.
The rate of weighted average yield of the accepted bids was 2.96 per cent.
