Rajshahi, Bangladesh (BBN) – A five-day BCS Digital Expo Rajshahi-2012 will begin at district gymnasium in the country’s northwestern city on February 1 this year.

Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), a national organization in the field of computer and information technology, is going to organize the biggest computer fair for the first time in the city with assistance from ICT Business Promotion Council under Commerce Ministry.

“Digital Education is the foundation for Digital Bangladesh” is the main slogan the fair, which will remain open for the visitors from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (local time).

Shafique Uddin Ahmed, BCS Director and Central Coordinator of the fair, said this at a press conference held at Safawang Community center in the city on Monday.

In the fair, he said 33 ICT organizations from both home and abroad will exhibit their technologies in 35 stalls and five pavilions besides cultural function, seminar, discussion meeting, quiz, art competition for the children, free internet and gaming zones.

He also said Mayor of Rajshahi AHM Khairuzzaman Liton is likely to open the fair as the chief guest at 4:00 pm on Wednesday.
