Rangpur, Bangladesh (BBN)– The admission tests for the first year Honours and BBA program for the 2011-12 sessions of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), will be held on December 12 at different venues in the country’s northern city.

Some 28 students will vie for a seat as 35,536 students have registered them to contest for 1,200 seats with 60 seats in each of the 20 departments, including five new, officials said.

The admission tests for eight departments under B-Unit comprising Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Faculty of Bio and Earth Science will he held from 9:30 am (local time) to 10:30 am on December 12.

The admission seekers for four departments under C-Unit comprising the Faculty of Business Studies will appear in the admission tests from 11:30 am to 12:30 noon on the same day.

Besides, admission tests for eight departments under A-Unit comprising the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Science will be held from 3pm to 4 pm at different venues in the city.

Results of the written admission tests will be published on December 18 and the same can be known from the varsity’s website www.brur.ac.bd, the university officials added.
