Bestec BD to invest $6.95 million in Chittagong EPZ

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - M/s Bestec (BD) Limited, a Korea Bangladesh joint venture company, will invest $6.95 million for setting up a garment manufacturing industry in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The company will also create employment opportunity for 3,744 Bangldeshi nationals.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Bestec (BD) Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and Director of Bestec (BD) Limited Seung Chul Kim signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, a press statement said.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Maj Gen ATM Shahidul Islam, Member (Finance) AKM Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi and general managers AZM Azizur Rahman and Mahmud Hasan were present at the signing ceremony.
