Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh Export Import Company (Beximco) dominated the week’s top turnover chart last week on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) that ended on Thursday.
A total of 11.78 million shares worth BDT 410.64 million changing hands during the week. Daily average turnover for the company was BDT 82.13 million. Each share of the company closed at BDT 34 on Thursday.
The company’s net profit stood at BDT 459.05 million with EPS of BDT 0.76 for the period of nine months (Jan’14 to Sep’14) as against BDT 403.57 million and BDT 0.67 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The company listed on the prime bourse in 1989. The company belongs to the ‘A’ category in miscellaneous sector.
Of the total shares – 19.9 percent held by sponsor/directors, instructions held by 6.09 percent, foreign investors held by 8.55 percent and public held by 65.46 percent shares.
It was followed by IFAD Autos BDT 404.72 million, Aamra Technologies BDT 400.03 million, GP BDT 362.71 million, Lafarge Surma Cement BDT 326.45 million, SPCL BDT 309.52 million, Agni Systems BDT 305.45 million, Square Pharma BDT 302.82 million, MJL BD BDT 288.50 million and CVO Petrochemicals BDT 286.27 million changed hands during the week.
