Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Beximco Limited dominated the week’s top turnover and top gainer chart last week on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) that ended on Thursday.
A total of 34.56 million share worth BDT 1.18 billion changing hands during the week. All five trading sessions in the last week, Beximco dominated top turnover chart. Daily average turnover for the company was BDT 236.40 million.
Brokers said that the investors went for Beximco’s share as the company included in DSE 30 Index once again which called blue chips shares.
After the semi-annual rebalancing of the DSE 30 Index, DSE index committee included Beximco Limited to DS30 last week, as the company meet certain criteria.
The other turnover leaders were — GP BDT 724.19 million, Square Pharma BDT 525.06 million, Shahjibazar Power BDT 432.52 million, Lafarge Surma Cement BDT 320.38 million, Olympic Industries BDT 313.38 million, Appollo Ispat Complex BDT 277.50 million, Beximco Pharma BDT 261.70 million, FAR Chemical Industries BDT 240.18 million and Peninsula Chittagong worth BDT 192.85 million changing hands.
Beximco Limited was also dominated the week’s gainer chart, posting a rise of 19.73 per cent last week.
