Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is going to sign a two-year deal with the country’s leading mobile phone operator Grameenphone this month, BFF vice-president Shaukat Ali Khan Jahangir said.

Under the deal, Grameenphone will provide BDT 160 million to the BFF over the next two years, one-fourth of which will be spent on promoting football in the country and the rest will be used for development purpose.

The BFF vice-president also said the contract will be signed during the Super Cup.

“We’ve completed all the formalities, now we are looking forward to signing the deal with the Grameenphone,” Mr. Jahangir was quoted by New Age, a local newspaper, as saying.
