Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Election to the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) will be held on August 30 this year to pick new leadership for the next two years (2014-16).
The BKMEA Election Board announced the polls schedule on Wednesday.
Voting to elect 27 directors will simultaneously be held in BKMEA’s Dhaka office and Narayanganj Club centers on August 30, according to the scheduled.
The last date to submit necessary documents for becoming a voter is July 2 while the preliminary voter list will be published on July 12 and the final one on July 23.
Nomination papers will be distributed on July 24, 26 and 27 and the final list of candidates will be published on August 11.
On September 1, the elected directors will choose the new president and four vice-presidents of the executive board of directors.
