BNP chairperson performs Umrah

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now in Saudi Arabia, performed holy Umrah in Makkah early Thursday.

Begum Zia along with her entourage started the rituals of Umrah at around 4 am (Saudi local time) on Thursday, according to a message received in the capital Dhaka.

Saudi Arabia BNP leaders Abdul Mukit, Abdul Majid and Iqbal Hossain, among others, also performed Umrah along with the party chief.

Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return home on April 3.

She left here for Riyadh on March 20 at the invitation of Saudi government for her medical treatment.
