Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia has reached the venue of a massive opposition rally organized in the capital Dhaka to press home the demand of restoration of the caretaker government.
Khaleda reached the dais set up near BNP headquarters at Nayapaltan in Dhaka at 2:35pm.
The huge crowd spilled over from Arambagh to Hare Road touching Motijheel, reports said, adding that there is no space to accommodate the participants in the area stretching to Kakrail from the BNP central office.
Leaders and workers of the four-party alliance and their like-minded parties marched towards venue with banners and placards containing the caretaker government (CG) restoration demand.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from a Chittagong rally earlier announced a mass rally for March 12 to mount pressure on the government to restore the caretaker government system for the next parliamentary election.
