Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The BNP accorded a warm reception on Sunday to party Chairperson Khaleda Zia on her return home after a 13-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
A large number of leaders and workers of BNP and its front and associate organizations welcomed Khaleda Zia at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport premises in Dhaka Sunday afternoon, presenting her with bouquets and chanting slogans.
They also welcomed her standing on the side of the streets as Khaleda’s motorcade made its way from the airport. Khaleda responded to the enthusiastic party faithful by waving her hand.
A flight of Saudi Airlines carrying Khaleda Zia landed at the airport at around 2:45 pm on Sunday.
The BNP chairperson went to Riyadh on March 20 at the invitation of the Saudi government for her medical treatment.
During her stay in Saudi Arabia Khaleda performed Umrah in Makkah and offered Ziarat at the holy Raoja Mobarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) in Madinah.
Apart from her medical check up, she also met chairman of King Faisal Institute, Prince Turkey Al Faisal and visited Princess Noora Binte Abdul Rahman Women University in Riyadh.
