Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– BNP chairperson and opposition leader Khaleda Zia will address the closing session of the Batexpo-2012 on Thursday.
Former Commerce Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, former Education Minister Dr Osman Faruq and former Industries Minister MK Anwar are also expected to attend the event as special guests.
President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, first vice president 
Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, second vice president M Siddiqur Rahman and vice president Faruque Hassan, among others, will attend the session.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 23rd edition of Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition (Batexpo-2012), the biggest-ever apparel show, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Jute and Textiles Minister Abdul Latif Siddique, LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, Commerce Minister Ghulam Muhammed Quader and Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan addressed the function as special guests.
Batexpo- country’s largest apparel show, began with a high hope to draw larger number of foreign buyers despite global economic crisis. The three- day event will be a reunion for both foreign buyers and local manufacturers, and the fair would help expand global market for Bangladesh’s readymade garments.
