Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Friday formally launched a month-long demonstration program as part of its ongoing anti-government activities across the country.

As part of the program, BNP will hold protest rallies at each Upazila and Thana headquarters, a party leader said.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi formally announced the launching of the program from a press conference held at the party central office in the capital Dhaka on the day.

BNP has 75 organizational committees across the country, Mr. Rizvi said, adding that a central committee with representation from all organizational committees has already been formed and it will fix the schedule of when and where the rallies will be held.

The National Standing Committee of BNP recently decided to send its central leaders to all districts and upazilas to strengthen organizational activities.

Mr. Rizvi also urged the government not to create any obstacles to BNP’s month long programs.
