Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN))-Senior leaders of opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will meet Tuesday night to articulate the party’s position on a number of crucial bilateral issues that would be placed at the meeting between party Chairperson Khaleda Zia and visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday.

“The meeting will finalise the points that we will make at the meeting with the Indian leader to ensure a win-win situation for peoples of our two countries,” the Acting Secretary General of the party, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, said, according to the New Age, a local newspaper, report.

BNP leader Khaleda Zia has convened the meeting of the party’s top policy making body, the national standing committee, to thrash out moot points.

Alongside the members of committee, some senior leaders who are former diplomats and have expertise on bilateral issues have also been asked to attend the meeting.

Khaleda will meet Manmohan at Sonargaon Hotel on Wednesday. The Indian envoy in Dhaka, Rajeet Mitter, on Sunday invited her for the meeting with the visiting Indian leader.
