BNP sits Thursday to make general strike success

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a meeting with the like-minded parties including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Thursday evening as part of the party’s ongoing activities.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is expected to chair the meeting schedule to be held at the party chief’s Gulshan office in Dhaka, The Daily Star, a local newspaper, reported quoting party sources.

The main agenda of the meeting is to make the November 30 general strike, popularly known as hartal, a success and gear up the six-day protest program that started from the day.
