BNP to enforce strike in Rajshahi, Rangpur divs Sunday

Rajshahi, Bangladesh (BBN) - The local units of opposition BNP are set to enforce a daylong hartal in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions for Sunday, demanding the release of its arrested central leaders, including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The shutdown is also meant for pressing the demand for the release of Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman.
Joint secretary general of BNP and also city BNP president Mizanur Rahman Minu gave the hartal call at a press conference in the city on April 17. 
Meanwhile, the local BNP held a rally at Bhuban Mohan Park in the city on Saturday to drum up support in favour of the strike, generally known as hartal.
