BNP to lay seize to DCs’ offices on Mar 20

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will lay a seize to the offices of the deputy commissioners across the country on March 20 protesting the alleged ‘rigging’ in the recently held upazila elections.
 

The party will also submit memorandum to the DCs’ offices as part of their protests, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP’s joint secretary general, said at a press conference at its central office at Naya Paltan in the capital Tuesday.

Mr. Rizvi alleged that the ruling party snatched away the Chairman posts of most of the upazilas by resorting to vote rigging and violence.
